Joel Johnstone is an American film and television actor, best known for his role of Cameron in The Newsroom. On March 21, 2013 a new HBO series titled Getting On was announced, in which Johnstone will star. He acted, directed and written a comedy short film The Pilgrim & the Private Eye, which was played at The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, Harlem International Film Festival and L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival. He won The Ralph Ince Directors Award for his short The Pilgrim & the Private Eye. He also gave his voice to two video games Dishonored and Aliens: Colonial Marines. On August 21, 2013 Johnstone joined the cast of the Disney's adaptation Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, which is set for a October 10, 2014 release. On November 6, 2013 he joined the cast of Nicholas Sparks' pilot Deliverance Creek.
