Joel Carriere

Joel Carriere is the president and owner of Dine Alone Records, Bedlam Music Management, New Damage Records and Dine Alone Foods.
Bedlam Society
Growing up in St. Catharines, Ontario, Joel embraced the growing punk music scene and in 2001 harnessed his passion for music into his first successful industry endeavour, the cutting edge website Bedlam Society. It was born out of a partnership with web developer Matt Smith. Joel's intention with the show promotion company was to create opportunities for music from Niagara. The online music magazine shortly there after expanded from Niagara to Ontario and then had national recognition. The virtual community it created soon became a platform to release a series of compilation albums titled the Bedlam Society Mix Tapes featuring such artists as Eagles of Death Metal, Talib Kweli, Tegan and Sara, The Roots, Yeah Yeah Yeah's and more. The same community created a promotional company promoting hundreds of independent artists and concerts in St. Catharines, Hamilton, Toronto, Whistler, Vancouver and more.
Dine Alone Records
Dine Alone Music Inc. is a small, yet powerful self-contanined independent record label. Dine Alone Records was born late 2005 by Joel Carriere. Dine Alone Records has and continues to work diligently to strengthen and develop its core activities, in promoting their bands, creating focused marketing campaigns for current album releases, and selling more albums both in traditional retail outlets and digitally. 2005 Dine Alone Records started as a Canadian based company only working the market of Canada. Today it is a global company with offices in Nashville, Toronto and Los Angeles.
Taking on small-unknown acts such as City and Colour, The Lumineers, The Civil Wars and The Sheepdogs, the label worked to build these bands from the developing stages, into Juno winning, gold and platinum status artists. Dine Alone also distributes in Canada, Brendon Benson's of The Raconteurs record label ReadyMade and Kings of Leon's record label Serpents and Snakes. Carriere’s initial vision of bringing new music to fans and bringing fans to new music was and continues to be at the core of his business practices, and is carried throughout the label and all of its employees, artists and industry partners. Dine Alone currently houses such artists as The Lumineers, City and Colour, We Are Scientists, Sleepy Sun. Twin Forks, Lucius, The Jezabels, James Vincent McMorrow, Marilyn Manson, Billy Bragg, JImmy Eat World, Hannah Georgas, Fidlar, Shovels and Rope, The Dodos, Tokyo Police CLub and more.

Debut City And Colour album, Sometimes, put Dine Alone in a position to sign other bands such as Bedouin Soundclash. Dine Alone and Bedlam employ about fifteen people.
New Damage Records
New Damage Records is an up-and-coming record label based out of Toronto, Canada. With a focus on heavier genres including metal, hardcore, punk and rock and roll, New Damage burst onto both the Canadian and International music scenes with their premiere release; KEN mode’s (Winnipeg, MB) ENTRECH. New Damage was collaboratively founded in early 2013 by the great minds behind established indie companies, Dine Alone Records and Bedlam Music Management. Between the buzz that is already surrounding this aggressive-music label and highly-anticipated upcoming announcements, 2013 is shaping up to be a big year for NEW DAMAGE RECORDS.
Dine Alone Foods
Created by two music fella's with an extraordinary passion for food and will translate that enthusiasm into an award winning product line. Hasting's musical career in the critically acclaimed, JUNO-winning Alexisonfire led to years of constant travel, touring, and sold out venues for the better part of a decade. A lifelong passion for cooking has since led to a collection of recipes from all over the world. Combined with an interest in cooking, and shared tour memories from years of managing Alexisonfire, Joel's award-winning marketing experience matches hand-in-hand with Jordan's culinary passion. The result is a uniquely crafted line of sauces, ranging from the thick, gourmet style Southern Blues BBQ sauce, to the sweet and smokey Northern Soul chipotle BBQ sauce. For the brave, DA Foods is also proud to offer a hot and flavourful Rock N Roll hot sauce to its expanding roster.
Bedlam Music Management
With the success of Alexisonfire, Carriere was encouraged to expand his management company and roster under the Bedlam Music Management umbrella which currently manages Alexisonfire, City and Colour, Monster Truck and The Sheepdogs. The company oversee's Adam Faucett, Clear Plastic Masks, Dexateens, Heyrocco, The Weeks, A Sight for Sewn Eyes, Beheading of a King, Exalt, Fall City Fall and Sleep When You're Dead. Bedlam Music Management is also responsible for breaking artists such as Bedouin Soundclash, Attack in Black and The Arkells. Bedlam Music Management recently opened an office in Los Angeles and Nashville.
Personal life
Carriere was married to Canadian radio and television personality Josie Dye on July 24, 2010.
