Technology
Jiwa is written using the Microsoft .NET framework 4.5.1 and utilises Microsoft SQL Server for the database engine. The reporting functionality uses Crystal Reports by SAP.
The plugin framework uses .NET language code, stored inside the database and compiled on demand to deliver customisations. Customisations include entirely new forms and modules, as well as modifications to existing forms and business logic.
Supported Platforms
The Windows client is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 or later editions.
Using Remote Desktop Services, the application can be accessed on any platform supporting providing a remote desktop client - Android, iOS and Mac platforms have such clients.
Licencing
Jiwa is licensed based on the number of concurrent users, i.e. the number of people accessing the Jiwa system at any one time, per physical server. Therefore, multiple companies may be implemented to use Jiwa as long as their databases are held on the one server without invoking any licensing issues
