Jianghan Hall

Jianghan Hall, built during the late Qing Dynasty by a Wuhan businessman, is located on a main thoroughfare of the Screw Bridge area of the Jianye District of Nanjing, China. It is located alongside the New River and was a place where timber merchants would meet and arrange for sale and shipment of lumber from the New River to the Yangtse River just to the north. It is made of brick and is well preserved. The main entrance to the five hundred square meter building is on its west side. On the east side of the building are a few dilapidated buildings. It is located near the New River Middle School. With the expansion of the school site, the Hall has been considered to be used as an exhibition hall.
