Jessica Jane Pile (born 4th October 1988) is an English writer and Director of the London Embroidery house Hand & Lock. Born in Kent, she went on to study Costume Construction at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama before joining Hand & Lock in 2010. In 2014 She became the youngest Director in the history of the company and oversaw the modernisation of the company and its classes expansion into the USA. Her debut book 'Fashion Embroidery' published in 2018 by Pavillion, details embroidery's role within fashion and offers step by step instructions for tambour beading, goldwork and silk shading.
