Jeremiah Rivers

Jeremiah Rivers an American basketball player. His father, Glenn “Doc” Rivers drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 1983.

Personal life
Jeremiah Rivers was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He belongs to a relatively small family which comprises of his father, Glenn “Doc”, his mother, Kristen Rivers and his three siblings: Austin, Spencer and Callie. Sooner than later, his family relocated and made Winter Park, Florida their hometown.
Highschool achievements
Jeremiah Rivers attended the Winter Park High school, located in his hometown. He has a record of weighing 210 pounds as well as having a height of 6-4. These factors contribute to his great defense mechanism as well as obtaining the position of a guard in the game. According to the official website of Georgetown University, , Jeremiah, during his high school education, was a member of a two-time First-Team All-Metro selection within a three year period. He piloted Winter Park to the States Finals with an overall record of 25-8 averaging in 15.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He also led them to the quarter finals during his junior year.
College achievements
Jeremiah then went on to attend the Georgetown University. He played on the school team as a sophomore guard. However, since last year 2008, he transferred to Indiana so as to complete his tertiary education as well as compete for that institution. According to the reporter Thomas on the ESPN automated news wire, “Jeremiah and his family made a decision and determined this was best for him.” He retains is position at Indiana, playing guard for the team.
At the beginning, when he just transferred, he was not able to gain as much playing time during various games. However, IDS News reported that that did not stop Rivers from being a vocal, physical and perhaps most important- a willing leader. After sitting on the bench for a year for the Hoosiers, Rivers aimed at proving to the country that he can compete with the best. As a result, he assisted in taking the Hoyas to the NCAA tournament in 2007 and 2008. Being the son of Doc Rivers, coach of the Boston Celtics, Jeremiah spends his past time in the summer in Florida testing his talent against various NBA player in an effort to improve his skills.
