Jennifer and Katherine Ostroth

Jennifer and Katherine Ostroth (Jenny and Katie) were born on January 13, 1988 and live in Teaneck, New Jersey along with their parents, Barbara and Jeff Ostroth and their two older brothers, Mark and Steve. As an infant their brother Steve Ostroth starred in a commercial for a diaper rash cream several years earlier, and their mother used the same agent she used for Steve to find a part for her twin daughters. When Jenny and Katie were 7 months old, their mother brought them to a casting call for the part of an infant daughter on the American soap opera Ryan's Hope. At the casting call parents and guardians auditioning their children were not informed of the story line or who's character the baby would be. Barbara Ostroth, being a fan of the show, guessed that it was the daughter of characters Maggie and Roger Coleridge, asking casting directors "doesn't this look like Maggie's baby?" It turned out she was correct, and a week later Barbara was informed that her daughters were being cast as Olivia Coleridge, child of Maggie and Roger Coleridge. The Ostroth girls appeared as Olivia in a series of humorous scenes from September, 1988 to January, 1989, that were written as a take-off from the hit movie, Three Men and a Baby, with Olivia being cared for by her father (Roger), her uncle (Ben) and the butler (Dowd). Roger gained custody of the child from Maggie after she tried to run away with the baby to Australia, leaving Roger the responsibility of raising the child without a mother. Their appearances ended when the show was cancelled early in 1989, and they have not done any television work since. They are now college graduates as of May, 2010. Jenny earned her B.A. in political science and social justice from University of Wisconsin/Madison and Katie was awarded a B.A. in communications, minoring in political science, at University of Pittsburgh.
