JD Costello

JD Costello is a former American professional wrestling manager, promoter, who resides in Charlotte, NC. Costello was known as a manager in the Mid Atlantic Territories for Jim Crockett Promotions. Costello was the promoter for NWA Charlotte, an independent wrestling promotion that was located in Charlotte, NC.

NWA Charlotte
At the Board of Directors meeting that was held in Texas, it was approved by the NWA Membership and NWA Charlotte become a full member of the NWA effective on October 9, 2008.
On April 25, 2009 the NWA Charlotte Coliseum was closed due to the building being found unsafe by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Fire & Police Department. Issues arose with the Fire/Safety systems and the safety measures needed for the capacity of people that were in the building.
On May 11, 2009 the announcement was made that NWA Charlotte was moving to the Charlotte Metrolina Expo for their shows. This effort not only gives a more up to date facility but free parking and a larger seating capacity. Due to this NWA Charlotte is continuing their shows on May 23, 2009 and on May 30, 2009 with a renewed purpose and a brighter future. Unfortunately, NWA Charlotte and the Metrolina Expo Center were unable to come to terms on a new facility to be built for them.
NWA Charlotte ceased operations on May 30, 2009.
