John M. (“Jay”) Fawcett, Jr, (b. 1 December 1955) ran for Congress as the Democratic nominee in . He is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Fawcett was born in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, attended Ringgold High School, and was selected to enter the United States Air Force Academy in July of 1973 with the Class of 1977.
Fawcett was considered a strong Democratic candidate in the heavily Republican 5th District. Despite this, he lost by 19 points to Republican Doug Lamborn in the general election.
