Jay Armstrong Johnson

Jay Armstrong Johnson (born September 1, 1987) is an American singer, musical theatre, and film actor.
Early Life
Jay Armstrong Johnson grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. His talent was realized at a young age while performing at local theaters and church. He attended the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated in 2005. He appeared in many productions locally including Casa Manana, Scott Theatre, Stage West, and the Weston Playhouse.
Johnson attended New York University, pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in music theatre vocal performance but has taken a leave of absence to pursue his career. He appeared in several shows at NYU including King David as King David, Floyd Collins as Floyd, and Romeo and Juliet as Romeo.
Career
Theatre
Johnson performed in the first national revival tour of A Chorus Line in 2008 as Mark. He is currently in ' at the Al Hirshfield Theatre on New York's Broadway as the Claude understudy.

Johnson is pursuing current film endeavors currently.
