Jason Fernandez

Jason Fernandez is a restaurateur in Tampa, Florida. His restaurants include the Green Iguana in Ybor City, Bernini in Ybor, Hot Willy's hotdog stand in Ybor and Carne Chophouse in Ybor (opened in 2012). Fernandez also helped open Malio's Prime steakhouse in Rivergate Tower (the Beer Can Building). He partnered on the project with Malio Iavarone and his son Derek Ivaraone. Fernandez is no longer an owner of Malio's.
Background and early career
Fernandez grew up on Davis Islands and attended . He is a graduate of the University of Tampa and has a master's degree in hotel and restaurant management from Johnson & Wales University. Fernandez opened Carne ChopHouse with seating for up to 242 in a 6,000 squuare foot space in the El Centro Espanol building at 1523 Seventh Avennue Ybor City.

Bernini is a popular Italian cuisine restaurant in the former Bank of Ybor City building in Ybor.
Malio Prime
Malio Prime was built with seating for 200 and covers 8,000 square feet in the Rivergate Tower
Personal life
Fernandez is married married Kristen Samuelson in 1999 and have two children.<ref name=partner/>
