Jarbook

A jarbook or a book-in-a-jar is an exotic book format. A strict definition can't be made, but, typically, jarbooks are books whose contents are written on pieces of paper, which are tied like a pergament and then placed in a jar, whilst the label of the jar could be considered a replacement of the front cover of a regular paperback or hardcover edition. This format is suitable for poetry books and other books where the order of the content isn't very important.
In 2003, the Romanian publishing house Humanitas has published four such jarbooks, out of which one is an anthology of international poetry entitled Eternul femenin (The Eternal Feminine), and the three others are selections of poems by Leonid Dimov, Emil Brumaru and . These are the only well-known examples of jarbooks.
