Jan Maciej Malkiewicz (born December 18, 1971) is a Polish civil servant who has served as the Consul General at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Munich, Germany since October 2020. Biography Jan Malkiewicz received his master's degree from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków specializing in Polish-German relations. In the years 1994-1995, he was a TEMPUS scholarship holder at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany. In 1999 he became a deputy secretary in the office of Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek. He went on to serve as director of the Office for Regulation of Telecommunications and Post (pl . ). From 2002 to 2003 he was a scholarship holder of the Robert Bosch Foundation. Malkiewicz completed professional internships at the Office for Regulation of Telecommunications and Post in Bonn, Germany, and later transferred into the private sector where he primarily worked in the telecommunications and medical industries. He became the Consul General at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Munich in October 2020. Malkiewicz is the lead initiator of the International Stefan Banach award. He is a two-time recipient of the Red Dot Design Reward and the recipient of the IF Design Award.
