Jan Layh is a painter currently living and working in Langenburg, Saskatchewan. Born in Humboldt, Layh studied at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Originally the artist in residence in Langenburg, she is currently the president of the Langenburg Art Council. Layh paints plein-air watercolour pieces, and large canvas work in her studio. She works on a large scale to reflect the vastness of the prairies.
