James St John Davis (née Bromiley-Davis) is a Common Councilor for the Candlewick Ward, a position he has held since first being elected in 2022. St John Davis is a Past Master of the Guild of Young Freemen, highlighting his long-standing involvement in mentoring younger City Freeman and promoting engagement with the livery movement. Additionally, he is a Liveryman and Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Insurers, which represents professionals in the insurance industry, and of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners. Professionally, James St John Davis is the Chief Risk Officer at Hampden Group, an insurance and financial services firm in the market. He has worked in the Lloyd’s insurance market since 2011 and previously held research and advisory roles in the UK Parliament. In addition, he is a Leadership Fellow of St. George’s House at Windsor Castle and has been involved in various charitable boards (supporting youth mentoring, rehabilitation of young offenders, and mental health causes).
