James Ryen

James Ryen (born July 17th), is an ethnic Korean-American stage, film, and television actor.
Biography
Born in South Korea on July 17th, James is a mix of Korean and German descent. James spent most of his youth in San Antonio, TX, attending Taft High School, where he performed in plays with current Psych star James Roday. James then attended McLennan Community College (Waco, TX) and the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK) on academic and performance scholarships, studying acting and vocal performance. He has worked on over 30 productions in film, television, theatre, and commercials.
James is a proud supporter of the MDA, having lost a brother that suffered from muscular dystrophy.
James trains in martial arts, acrobatics, and stunts with Mike Chat, 7-time World Champion at the XMA World Headquarters.
James lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife, Jennifer Anniece.
Professional career
James has numerous stage credits, including performing at the American Repertory Theatre under Robert Woodruff and the Huntington Theatre Company under current Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Nicholas Martin. He has also been a part of several new works, most notably the New England premiere of Fat Pig with SpeakEasy Stage Company and the North American premiere of The Odyssey with the New Hampshire Theatre Project. James has also acted in over a dozen Shakespeare productions.
Ryen has also choreographed or worked as a fight performer in several productions, including an upcoming webisode of "My Own Worst Enemy," the NBC series starring Christian Slater.
James' on camera work includes commercial, industrial, and print advertisements including Comcast and Krispy Kreme advertisements. He television appearances include "My Own Worst Enemy," NCIS, Heroes, and Waterfront. Film credits include 27 Dresses, Dark House, Shuttle, and The Game Plan.
