James Legan, Jr. (born April 12, 1987) is an American semi-professional basketball player who currently plays for the Ipswich Force of the Queensland Basketball League. He played college basketball at both Lon Morris College and East Carolina University. High school career Legan attended Galena Park High School in the Houston metro area. As the team captain his senior year, he averaged 25 points per game while helping his team compile a 22-13 record along with a district and area championship. College career Legan played two seasons at Lon Morris College between 2005 and 2007. As a sophomore in 2006-07, he averaged 14.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 38 percent from three-point range. He was named to the 2007 All-Region XIV second team, as he helped Lon Morris capture the regional championship. In his senior season, Legan was one of the best three-point shooters in Conference USA, finishing with a shooting percentage of 40.6% from behind the arc in 2008-09. In 30 games, he averaged 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. In February 2012, Legan re-signed with the Mountaineers for the 2012 QBL season. In March 2013, Legan again re-signed with the Mountaineers for the 2013 QBL season. In 49 games over three seasons for the Mountaineers, Legan averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game, as well as receiving player of the week honors five separate times. Ipswich Force (2014-present) In December 2013, Legan signed with the Ipswich Force for the 2014 QBL season.
