Donnell Beverly

Donnell Roosevelt Beverly (born September 7, 1989) is an American basketball player who played NCAA Division I college basketball for the University of Connecticut and was part of the team.
Basketball career
High school
As a senior, averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game... He captained his senior squad at Leuzinger High School (Lawndale, Calif.) earning team MVP honors... Most Outstanding Player of the Bay League in California... Named to the All-California Interscholastic Federation-SS Division 1-A Team.
College
As a Freshman in 2007-08: Appeared in 18 games... Had two points and three defensive boards against Cincinnati... Had three points in 16 minutes against Indiana... Hit two free throws and had two assists vs. Maine... Had three points and two boards vs. Florida A&M... Tallied first career points on a three-pointer against Gardner-Webb in Hartford.
As a Sophomore in 2008-09: Appeared in 20 games... Had seven points and five assists in the NCAA First Round win over Chattanooga... Had a career-best nine points in the win over Hartford.
As a Junior in 2009-10: Averaged 1.6 points in 9.8 minutes per game off the bench... Saw playing time in every BIG EAST game this season, with the exception of Georgetown, averaged 9.9 minutes in conference play... Contributed a career-high night at Rutgers with eight points and six boards... Matched his season-highs in assists (four) and steals (two) against Texas... Provided a spark off the bench with four points and two boards against St. John's... Played a season-high 21 minutes in game at Michigan.
As a Senior in 2010-11: Served as team co-captain with Kemba Walker and appeared in 39 games, averaged 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game off the bench... Recorded 1.3 points in 9.0 minutes in BIG EAST play... Dished out five assists against Providence in 18 minutes... Scored six points and two assists with a career-high two three-pointers made at DePaul... Notched a season-high eight points, including 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the overtime victory at Texas... Recorded five assists and a career-high two blocks against Fairleigh Dickinson... Registered seven points and a career-high seven assists against UMBC... Totaled four points, four rebounds and two assists in just seven minutes against Vermont... Totaled six points and five rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench in the season opener against Stony Brook.
Professional
Beverly graduated from UConn in May of 2011 and is currently being evaluated by professional basketball leagues in Europe.
