James Absalom

James Absalom (born March 23, 1987) is an English semi-professional cricketer. He is currently in a gap year playing for Prahran Cricket Club in the Victorian Premier Cricket League, Australia. His role is a right arm medium-fast bowler and lower order batsmen. Back in England he plays for Harpenden Cricket Club, Hertfordshire.

He is a keen sportsmen, and concentrated on football at a young age, not cricket. He began his promising career at Tottenham Hotspur FC Academy and by reaching 6 foot at the age of 14, he attracted the eyes of many scouts with his superb aerial ability. He played alongside Aaron Lennon in the FA Youth Cup Final in 2003, losing 3-1 to West Ham United FC.

After being released from Tottenham he moved onto Nottingham Trent University to study Graphic Imaging and took up cricket.
