Bradden Inman

Bradden Inman (born 10 December 1991 in Adelaide) is an Australian born footballer currently playing for Newcastle United in the Football League Championship and Scotland U19s.
Background
Inman grew up in Redwood Park, Adelaide and started playing football at the age of 6. He is the youngest of four children with sisters Caitlyn, 19, Jessica, 21 and Leighanne, 27. His mother, Lorraine, was born in Scotland while the parents of his father, David, were born in England.
Club Career
At the age of 14, Inman relocated to England after Newcastle scouts spotted his potential during a junior tournament in Adelaide and invited him to train with the club. He was then promoted to an academy scholarship after only 12 months.
He made his debut for the Newcastle United reserve side against Sheffield United in September 2008 after only a handful of appearances in the U18 side. Most recently, he was an unused substitute in United's clash with Manchester City on January 28, 2009.
Newcastle's academy director, Richard Money, a former coach of Newcastle Jets in the A-League, said it was Brad's skills and hard work ethic that prompted his inclusion in the senior squad, stating that "A number of our first-years have done the same but he's probably shone above the rest. It's a big boost for everyone involved in the youth program when you get a 17-year-old boy on the bench; it's a bit special."
International Career
While still relatively unknown in Australia, his recent performances have attracted interest from the Scottish Football Association. Inman was called up to play for the Scotland U19s on 25 February 2009 against France and again on 29 May 2009 against Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of the Elite Round of the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship.
While his childhood dream remains to represent Australia, he has yet to be contacted by Football Federation Australia scouts or officials. As a result of a perceived lack of Socceroo interest, long travel distances to and from Australia and a lower level quality of competition in the Asian Football Confederation, Inman has indicated that his current preference is to continue playing for the Scotland youth team.
Should Scotland select him as an U21, it would permanently lock Inman out of the Socceroos system.
