Jamal Simmons is an American political analyst and television commentator seen on MSNBC, ABC News, CBS News and CNN. Simmons graduated from Detroit's Cass Technical High School, with a Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College and a master's degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Background Simmons served as chief of staff to U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick and as a political aide to U.S. Trade Representative and Commerce Secretary Mickey Kantor. Simmons was press secretary to Senator Bob Graham's and General Wesley K. Clark's presidential campaigns, and has worked in various capacities for President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore. He married Jewel James in 2016.
