Jake Trask

Jake Trask (born August 31, 1991), is a Canadian ice hockey winger currently playing for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Trask, who was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is an undrafted 19 year old playing in his fourth season in the WHL. He was drafted by the Kamloops Blazers in the 2006 bantam draft, 61st overall, and played 143 regular season games for 41 points and 6 playoff games for 2 points before being traded to his hometown Saskatoon in exchange for a 6th round pick in the 2012 draft .Trask
plays on the Blades' first line with Los Angeles Kings' first round draft pick Brayden Schenn and Brayden's linemate on the 2011 Canada men's national junior ice hockey team, Curtis Hamilton, who is also an Edmonton Oilers draft pick. He is known for being shy in interviews and has a hard time coming up with different answers for different interview questions . He also looks very good in a suit.
Playing Career
Trask started his Western Hockey League career in the 2007-08 season when he played one game as a rookie with the Kamloops Blazers. The next season, he played 7 games short of a full season. He played 9 games with the Blazers in the 2010-11 season before being traded to the Blades in mid-October. Trask started gaining success when he was moved to the Blades' first line in late 2010, and scored a career high 30 goals in the regular season, despite missing games due to injury . On Wednesday, March 16th, vs. the Moose Jaw Warriors, the Warriors' Brett Lyon hit Trask in the head on Trask's first shift, which caused him to suffer a minor concussion. He missed the remaining 2 regular season games against the Regina Pats and is expected to be in the Blades' lineup for the start of the playoffs, when the Blades take on the Prince Albert Raiders in round one.
