Jake Lent-Koop

Jake Lent-Koop (born November 22, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender. Prior to joining Pittsburgh, his first professional club, he played for the Messiah Falcons.
Career
College
Lent-Koop first played for the Falcons in 2019, playing 22 games but only starting 6. In 2021, Lent-Koop started all 23 games for the Falcons, scoring a very impressive eight goals, while also picking up one assist. He put in a notable defensive shift in a 0-0 draw against Elizabethtown. Lent-Koop went on to score the winning goal against Lebanon Valley to secure the Conference Championship title. That year, Lent-Koop also scored in games against Mount Aloysius and Stevenson, while also managing to keep a clean sheet in both. In 2022, he added another impressive season to the belt, playing 20 games and scoring 6 goals and one assist. He also added his first multi-goal game in his career, scoring a brace in the tremendous 9-0 win over Hood College. In the 2023 season, Lent-Koop helped Messiah go on a 43-game unbeaten streak, though they would lose in the second round of the playoffs, 1-0 to Ohio Northern University. Lent-Koop also won the MAC Commonwealth Tournament MVP award in that season. Lent-Koop only played 13 games in the following season before transferring to the Riverhounds.
Professional
On January 26, 2024, Lent-Koop signed his first professional contract with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Lent-Koop got his first professional start in the U.S. Open Cup against FC Tulsa in the 1-0 loss. He made his first USL Championship appearance off the bench in the 5-0 win over the Oakland Roots. He became a free agent following Pittsburgh's 2024 season.
