Jackson Webster Armstrong, B.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., (born January 19, 1978) is a Canadian historian and author. He is currently a lecturer in history at the University of Aberdeen. Dr. Armstrong was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He attended Upper Canada College before receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen’s University. He has also studied at the University of Edinburgh, and he received his Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. He is currently lecturer in medieval and early modern history at the University of Aberdeen. He wrote the book Seven Eggs Today: The Diaries of Mary Armstrong, 1859 and 1869 (Life Writing), published in 2004, which offers "an intriguing glimpse into the daily life of an average Toronto woman in the mid-nineteenth century". In 2008 he was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
