Jack Soifer

Jack Soifer is a consultant and international entrepreneur, specialising in innovation applied to ecotourism, agricultural industry, transportation and renewable energy. Since 2008, Soifer is promoting synergies in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME's) and taking civic action to simplify business activity in Portugal.
Background
Born in Brazil, start early working on family business and the multicultural environment at home had inspired him to travel and live in different countries.
Graduated in 1959 operational electric engineering in Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca CEFET, Rio de Janeiro-Brazil. In 1966 graduated in Business Administration & Education at Stockholm University,Stockholm-Sweden.
Got small specializations in Media at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Germany, 1972, Trading in CEFET Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1974, Informatics at Apple, Gotemburg, Sweden, 1992 and Economic Analysis in Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro and Manaus,Brazil 1996.
Professional career
He worked in Sweden for Kockums and Television Broadcasts Limited, in the USA for Alexander Proudfoot for UNESCO, IDB, World Bank and Sweducom Consulting Company in the Philippines,Cape Verde, China, Angola, USA, UK. Member of Presidential Council for Social-Economic development of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in Brazil.
Social activities
Rotary World Community AIMP responsible of district 4530 in 2003/4, gathering 264 personal computers for 17 "telecenters" in 13 clubs, to bring street kids into school. In Portugal since 2004, has been a member of NGO's to promote successful small business as Business Angels, then InovAAAntes (innovative ones) and easier fiscal procedures Deixem-nos Respirar (let us breathe) initiative.
