Isochronia is an agreement, with respect to time, rate, or frequency of applied policies among different political parties. It is a political system that gives to each party a corresponding time, in order to govern and apply its policy. As opposed to democracy, isochronia claims that it is unfair for the 51% of the people to rule over the 49%, for the 100% of the time. Isochronia often requires and defines a time window, in order to work. For example in case the time window defined is 50 years, and we have two parties representing 20% and 80% of the population, the one party rules for 10 years and the other for 40. Isochronia comes from the Greek isos equal and chronos time.
