Irene Brodsky

Irene Brodsky (September 11, 1946) is a poet who teaches Freestyle Poetry at Brooklyn College IRPE Program for Adult Education. She has been writing since 2002. She has been married since 1989 and calls Brooklyn, New York her "home".
Family Background
Irene Betty Kerschman Brodsky was born in a Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York, studied at Thomas Jefferson High School (1965) and graduated from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (2007). Her mother, Lillian Cohen Kerschman was a Doctor's assistant and her father, Samuel Kerschman, was a Statistician. She had one older brother, Herbert Seymour Kerschman, who passed away in 1995.
Irene Brodsky presently teaches freestyle poetry at Brooklyn college, City University of New York in their
adult education program: Institute for Retired Persons in Pursuit of Education
Ms. Brodsky has recently registered for Graduate School and hopes to receive her MFA in Poetry
