The iRed Lite is a software program developed by tin:b Software, to allow customization of the Apple Remote, on compatible iMac computers. There is also a version for non-built in infrared receivers, iRed. What is it used for The following are some of the many uses for this software: * Control iTunes * Control Presentations (Keynote/PowerPoint) * Photo slideshow control with iPhoto * Wireless mouse * Internet TV control * Almost any task (provides customization options with AppleScript and mouse/keyboard control) Cost At the moment, iRed Lite is free, however the creator has plans to change to shareware license to help development, with a planned cost of $10. Features * Customizable actions, using a variety of mouse control/keyboard control/AppleScript actions. * Multiple "Layers", allowing you to have many different presets for the remote * The ability to export/import Actions, so that you can share your creations with others * Multiple Apple Remotes can be used, each set to use a different Layer automatically, so that you can control multiple programs at once.
