Iqbal Mohamed is an Indian advertising and automobile photographer, originally from Chennai. He closed his studio in Mumbai and founded India's first professional photography institute, Light & Life Photography Academy (LLA), in Ooty, offering short-term workshops and long-term courses in photography. He has photographed campaigns for Ford, Toyota, FIAT, Mistshubishi, Colour Plus, Ponds, TVS, Timex, Reebok, GE, BPL, Mahindra & Mahindra, Coca Cola and Ashok Leyland. Also a nature and outdoor photography lover, he has worked with the tourism department to produce a photography book on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He has photographed for the books The Nilgiris Mountain Railway and Chola Architecture. His book Portrait & Function Photography is the first book of its kind to be published in eight Indian languages besides English. He has co-photographed for two books Karnataka and Bangalore. He is an alumnus of the Brooks Institute of Photography in California. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Political Science from Loyola College, Chennai and an MBA from the University of Madras.
