The second-generation iPhone SE (colloquially referred to as the iPhone SE 2 and the iPhone 9) is an upcoming iPhone that will serve as the successor to both the original iPhone SE and the iPhone 8/8 Plus, and has been rumored since 2017, a year after the original iPhone SE was released. The new iPhone SE is the 13th generation of the iPhone, along with the higher-end iPhone 11 and flagship 11 Pro/Pro Max. However, cases for this phone are already being shipped to Best Buy, showing an iPhone with an iPhone 8-sized body, a single camera lens for the regular model, and a dual-lens camera for the Plus model, like the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Although the iPhone SE cases arrived on March 31, Best Buy employees have been advised not to start selling them until April 5, 2020.<ref name="9to5mac" />
