Intelligent clothing

Intelligent clothing are articles of clothing, footwear or accessories that feature micro-electronic sensors which gather, communicate and output usage and performance data. Intelligent Clothing is dissimilar to Wearable Computing and Wearable computers in such that a computer is not literally worn. Electronic sensing and computing technology is seamlessly integrated into clothing with minimal to no visual indicators of the technology. Intelligent Clothing also describes an apparel and footwear industry segment. Currently, this segment is not an official industry category.
