INS Cinque is a Water Jet Fast Attack Craft (WJFAC) of the Indian Navy, built by GRSE (Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers) in Kolkata. It is named after a pristine Island sanctuary in the Andamans. This warship is part of 10 ship series. The cost of this ship is 500 million rupees. All 10 ships are scheduled to be delivered to the Navy by October 2010. This ship is an improved version of the Fast Attack Crafts with speed in excess of 35 knots. India's vast coastline and island territories demand extensive patrolling and monitoring and WJFAC are best suited for this purpose. This ship has very high speed and long endurance and it is used to carry out patrols, especially in coastal waters of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep. The ship will be fitted with CRN-91 Gun along with sensors.
