Inglesina Baby is an Italian company renowned for having produced the “London” pram, inspired by the models in use at the Courts of the United Kingdom. Inglesina is the unique company in the world, that produces prams with this particular design. Since 1963, year of his foundation, it has been specialized in the design and production of baby transport: strollers, prams and accessories in the field of infancy and child care in general. It is legal registered office is located in Altavilla Vicentina (in the Province of Vicenza). Why the name Inglesina? The name Inglesina was chosen because of the first model, launched in 1963: the “London” pram, with its leaf spring frame, was inspired by the traditional English prams of the princes of the Courts of the United Kingdom. The historical “London” pram is still produced today, albeit the design has been revisited and the product is now called the “Classica”. The History Inglesina Baby was founded in 1963 as an idea of Liviano Tomasi, a racing car enthusiast who produced mini-vehicles for the world of kart racing in his workshop in Tavernelle (Province of Vicenza). Tomasi went from karts to tricycles for children and finally to prams, founding Inglesina Baby with his brothers Augusto and Sergio. Since then, the company has grown constantly. In the first ten years of business, production remained focused on English style prams. In the following decade, during the golden years of space exploration, the first “Apollo” stroller was introduced. In the Eighties and Nineties, the production was completed with accessories for early infancy. In recent years, integrated 3 in 1 systems have been created, as well as the designer collection for the home and for infancy.
