IndieShows is an independent music website that focuses on promoting events, venues and independent artists' music. The site offers free event, venue and podsafe/radiosafe mp3 posting and searching. Features Event Promotion IndieShows allows you to post independent music events without a registration process. You can post events occurring anywhere in the world as long as they are independent music related. Posts that are not independent music related are removed immediately or flagged by other IndieShows visitors and eventually removed. When viewing an event, you can e-mail others the event's information, re-post the event on sites like MySpace and Facebook, add the event to Google Calendar, add your name to the event's attending list, get directions and leave your comments. Each event lists the title, venue, city/state, country, date/time, cost, description and an external link to the event's or artist's website. Visitors can search for events by location, keyword or date. Venue Directory IndieShows hosts a user-fed music venue directory. No registration is required to add a venue to the site and you can post any kind of music venue located anywhere in the world. Once the venue is approved by a moderator, the venue goes live on the site. This section of IndieShows helps you find venues in your area to perform at or visit. Podsafe/Radiosafe Music IndieShows allows any artist to register and upload up to three mp3 files to the music section of the site. Before the artist can upload any mp3s, they must agree to certain terms which allows IndieShows to post their mp3s on the site as free downloads. The artists also agree to allow anyone to share and broadcast the mp3s that they upload to the site. This is why the music in considered "podsafe" and "radiosafe". Podcast owners and radio DJs can visit IndieShows and download any mp3 in the music section and broadcast the music without having to pay the artist royalties or ask for their permission.
