The Indian Ocean Interdisciplinary Management Foundation (IOIMF) was chartered in Vienna, Austria 1979, under the auspices of then Lecturer, Guru, Professor, Dr Michael Hoffman; the Head of Vienna University, (German: Universität Wien) High Management Department and Founder, Vienna Interdisciplinary Management Institute 1974. Also a Consultant to a number of leading, German, Austrian, Swiss, Italy multinationals, governments and UN institutions. On account of Austrian history, its excellent economic, political relation with the Eastern Bloc, then COMECON countries, the USSR, the Warsaw Pact . Its respected neutrality, excellent relation with the Arab world and OAU, "the Cold War" relation between the East and West, the political situation in the Indian Ocean as an important contribution to Charter IOIMF - Indian Ocean Interdisciplinary Management. In accordance with such regulations in granting of such charter, duly documented and witnessed, Mr Mitchel Juan Edmond, the first Seychelles national to be exiled in Austria, Vienna, since 1976, married to an Austrian national from Zillertal in Tyrol, who had worked for the Von Oswald family, in Seychelles. He was made a Fellow of Vienna Interdisciplinary Management Institute and given charge of the Charter for the Indian Ocean region. Note: One of the first Research undertaken by UNIDO under the guidance of Vienna Interdisciplinary Management Institute, Professor Dr Micheal Hoffman, the newly Charted IOIMF - Indian Ocean Interdisciplinary Management Foundation - was the first Small Indian Ocean joint economic Grouping like CARICOM which existed then. The research was submitted to UNIDO in Vienna, the World Bank, Seychelles Government, Vienna Interdisciplinary Management Institute, the Austrian Federal Government, Bank Austria Creditanstalt, the South African Embassy in Vienna, the US Embassy in Vienna, Israeli Embassy in Vienna, those from the Illuminati other fraternal bodies knowledge. All those who opposed this concept, they said it was too grandiose and would never work in the Indian Ocean; under the Heading Indian Ocean Industrial Investment and Promotion Centre. The concept taken and used to set in place the COI -Indian Ocean Commission , Secretariat in Mauritius.
