Independent Nurse

Independent Nurse is a fortnightly magazine for primary care and community nurses, published by MA Healthcare. Launched in 2005, the title contains news, opinion, clinical features and professional features. With a circulation of over 12,000, it aims to champion primary care nurses, to enhance their professional development and support them in their expanding roles.
In 2010, the title was nominated in several categories of the Medical Journalists' Association Summer Awards, and its articles have been used by a range of medical publications including GP Newspaper and Pulse.
Readership

Readers of Independent Nurse work in primary care and community settings - not hospitals. They includes nurses employed in GP surgeries (practice nurses and nurse practitioners); district nurses; community matrons; health visitors; and school and prison nurses, often working at an advanced level. A high proportion of readers are nurse prescribers.
