Improving Enterprises is a Dallas-based software company that specializes in consulting, training, and "rural sourcing" (a localized alternative to offshoring that is growing in popularity among US businesses). History Improving Enterprises, LLC. Improving Enterprises, LLC was founded in 2004 as a small Microsoft training company. Within 18 months, Improving achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status to further its training business in the Dallas area. The founders of the company, Jef Newsom and Todd Girvin, contribute to the regional Microsoft community - writing, speaking, and presenting on a regular basis. The Blue Ocean Group, Inc. At the end of 2006, Blue Ocean Group, Inc. was established as a high-end technology services firm with a clear focus on consulting and project outsourcing. The management team - consisting of Curtis Hite, Barry Rogers, and Ric DeAnda - has worked together in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since the early 1990s and has successfully grown several technology companies. Improving Enterprises, Inc. In January of 2007, the two companies merged to create a complete services firm, offering training, consulting, and project services. Combining Improving Enterprises’ Microsoft partnership with Blue Ocean Group’s business acumen and network, the companies became a driving force in the Texas technology market.
