LHM Guwahati is in Guwahati city, the capital of Assam state of India. Its a very old institute having diploma students which was later converted into a ihm recently.
Earlier the institute ws located in a small building in the gs road of guwahati locality roughly around where the dona multiplex stands. later in the year 2006 the institute was shifted into the BORBADI locality of guwahati where till date it still stands. the institute being rich in its infrastructure because of regular funds from the central government of india as well the assam state government. although the need of quality teachers has been long felt in this institute and till date countinues to be felt badly.mr shakti pada bhattacharya is the current principal of the college with its 160+ student in 1st year(the no. of students in 2nd and 3rd year is comperatively low because of high failure rate in 1st year annual examination). the current teachers who are notable for their unpartial way aye respected mr hemant baishya who is the house keeping teacher here. the institute is somewhat in a sub urban space and is difficult to reach from the guwahati railway station for the 1st timers. as people generally avoid to visit nort eastern india so guwahati ihm always gets the chance to welcome the last rankers i.e those whose rank is below 6000 in the all india NCHMCT exam.
To date there are only handful of people who know about this distant college of northeast. generally the climate of guwahati is very hot unlike the peoples thought o0f being a cold hilly city. hence student gets used to hgh temperatures and eating rice 7 days a week and all the 4 weeks and all 12 months.it is worth mentioning that campus oppertunites don't come much here because of its distance from all the main cities of india. train route is also wery bad because from new jalpaiguri to guwahati its a single track line so trains become late very easily.
