The I Will Tell film festival shows award-winning films from around the world, particularly focussing on issues of social, economic and environmental justice and equity - from race and gender issues to gun crime and global warming, but also including personal issues such as health and relationships. The festival is unique in that it specialises in telling stories that are not often told and focusses the post-screening discussions more heavily on the issues raised in the films rather than the filmmaking or filmmakers. Unusually the festival started as a film festival in churches across London before moving to cinemas in 2009. The festival also hosts a number of post-screening activities that provide further information, books and other literature on the issues raised. I Will Tell includes short films as well as feature-length films in its line-up such as World Unseen and Escape from Luanda Occasionally, I Will Tell also hosts special screenings on topical issues such as the economy. The main festival runs late August/early September every year. However, occasionally smaller festivals are run during the year. See Also List of film festivals
