I Can Make You a Man

"I Can Make You a Man" is the seventh song featured in the The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack. It was written by Richard O'Brien especially for the stage play, whilst other Rocky Horror songs were written without intention of using them in any type of production.
Origin
Known in the stage show as "Charles Atlas", this is Frank's love song for Rocky. It expresses lust and admiration for the body that Rocky has. The verses are spoken, but the heavy, gospel-flavored chorus sections are thick harmonies. The song is reprised as the finale of the first act in the stage show, usually in the key of E-flat from the original song's F expressing the same lust and admiration but in defense of having had the same feelings for Eddie.
Progression
The song is based around a common C-E-Am-Amdim F-D-C-A progression in the verse with D-G-F F-C/E-Dm-C in the chorus. The song features a chorus of Transylvanians as well as Columbia, Magenta and Riff Raff.
