I C Gupta

Dr. I C Gupta is an academic from Indore, India who has taught in universities in several countries including India, Thailand, France and Mauritius. His areas of interests are advertising, tourism, marketing management, and business communication.
Dr. Gupta was born in Hatod in 1946 and joined the Indian Air Force at the age of 18. He did his Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, and Master of Economics while working in the force. He then decided to leave the air force for a career in Academics. He worked at an Electronic Appliance Store "McCoy Pals" as a Sales Manager while doing his MBA at Devi Ahilya University and also teaching Economics students. It was a special accomplishment for him to achieve a gold medal in MBA while juggling three jobs ... and two infants.
Dr. Gupta did his PhD on "Banking Sector in Indian Subcontinent" under the supervision of Dr. R D Agrawal and served as lecturer at IMS, Indore and Director, IIPS, Indore. He moved to Assumption University, Thailand for 5 years in the role of a professor and also had a brief stint at University of Mauritius at Reduit.
He served as Dean and Director, Prestige Institute of Management and Research from 2006 to 2008 and is currently the Director of Medicaps Management Institute, Indore, India.
