Hypmocracy

A Hypmocracy is a American slang term used to describe a hypocritical democratic government or society.
Etymology
The word originates from a 2010 play by students at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Hypmocracy can be used as a noun or an adjective. It combines the words hypocrisy and democracy in order to describe a hypocritical democracy.
In Context:
A Hypmocracy acts without the United Nation's approval when circumstances benefit a country willing to go to war even if it is not justified.
It is an absolute hypmocracy that the government cracks down on drug abuse, but all the ingredients to crystal meth are sold OTC.
The fact that a police office will talk on his/her cell phone, and then pull over a civilian for doing the exact same thing is a hypmocracy.
