Hymen Records is an imprint of the Ant-Zen record label, founded in 1997 by Stefan Alt (DJ Salt)<ref name="igloomaginterview" />. Hymen mainly releases material of a technoid, power noise/rhythmic noise, dark ambient, IDM, breakcore or similar experimental electronic nature. Hymen uses a specific catalogue numbering scheme to denote the type of release, with ¥0xx for the 12" series with stamps on the cover, ¥4xx for LPs, CD3#, ¥6xx for promotional gimmicks such as t-shirts, posters, etc, and ¥7xx for CDs.
