Hunbatz Men

Hunbatz Men was born in Wenkal, Yucatan, Mexico. He began his training to become a shaman at age one. He is a member of the Council of World Elders. He has spoken at conferences, such as the 2nd Annual Ancient Crystal Skulls Event, Conscious Life Expo, and Star Knowledge Conference, about the history, calendars, and cosmic understandings of ancient Maya. Hunbatz Men has written books on his knowledge of ancient May such as Secrets of Mayan Science/Religion and The 8 Calendars of the Maya:The Pleiadian Cycle and the Key to Destiny. In addition, Hunbatz Men contributed text to Cynthia MacAdams' book, Mayan Vision Quest.

Secrets of Mayan Science/Religion
This text, published in 1990, uses symbols from ancient Maya art and hieroglyphs along with linguistic evidence of Mayan to advocate for Mayan origin of letters "G", "T", and "O".
Mayan Vision Quest
This book includes a compilation of Cynthia MacAdams' photographs of ancient Maya sites such as Copan, Uaxactun, Seibal, Tikal, El Mirador, Atitlan, Palenque, Chichen Itza, and others. Hunbatz Men and Charles Bensinger contributed descriptions of the sites. They also provide possible uses of certain architectures, such as Maya ball courts and altars.
The 8 Calendars of the Maya: The Pleiadian Cycle and the Key to Destiny
In this text, Hunbatz Men discusses how Maya ancestors used many calendars to follow organizations in the cosmos. This is discussed more in depth through the explanation of the Tzek'eb calendar.
Maya Calendars
In this text, Hunbatz Men discusses the calendars of ancient Maya and how the calendars were connected to cycles within the cosmos. He says these calendars were created by "astronomical masters".
