Hugo Morales Murguia

Hugo Morales Murguia (born September 20, 1979) is a Mexican composer of instrumental and electroacoustic music. His music, as well as his scope of research, are focused in the use of sound control physical interfaces , improvisation and systems of multiparametrical notation . He has been living in The Netherlands since 2002. From the year 2007 he follows a PhD Degree at the Centre for Contemporary Music Practice from Brunel University in West London, under the supervision of Richard Barrett, supported by Mexico's National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA), and a Master's Degree in Sonology at the Institute of Sonology from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, The Netherlands. His music has been premiered in Mexico, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Russia by ensembles such as The Arditti String Quartet, The Ensemble InterContemporain and the Cuarteto Latinoamericano, among others. |
