Hugh Allison

Hugh Allison (born 29 September 1982) is an English actor, director, lighting designer, stage manager and writer, working mainly on the London Fringe. He also runs three production companies.
Acting
Allison's film roles have mainly been main roles in low budget films, such as Raymond in The Cult, or small roles in big budget films, such as caddy in Amazing Grace.
Directing
Allison's theatre directing includes:
* A Christmas Carol - As told by Jacob Marley (deceased), performed at The Hob, The White Bear, The Cockpit and The Space, November 2009-January 2010.
* Eclipsed, performed at Hen and Chickens Theatre, The Bedford and the Inn On The Green for First Draft Theatre Company in 2006.
* Gospel, performed at The Etcetera Theatre in 2007.
* Life Support, performed at the King's Head, Barons Court Theatre and The Inn On The Green in 2007.
* Numbers and Embassyland, performed as a double bill at Barons Court Theatre in 2008.
* Pretty Boy, performed at The White Bear in 2004.
* Richard II, performed at 41 Monkgate for the York Shakespeare Project in 2009.
* Rosalind and The Bear, performed as a double bill at the Rosemary Branch Theatre in 2005.
* What Andrew Heard, performed at The Tabard Theatre in 2007.
* The Woman Who, performed at The Dogstar in 2010.
Allison has worked as Co-Director on various plays (including MYPN Through My Eyes) and Assistant Director on others (such as I Just Broke Up).
Allison has also directed for film and radio.
Lighting Design
Allison's lighting design credits include the world premiere of Blue Moon True at the Finborough Theatre, and The Collector at the Camden Peoples Theatre.
Stage Management
Allison's Stage Management credits include Icarus Theatre Collective's production of The Lesson.

Allison's theatre writings include:
* Call On Me; first performed Upstairs at The Gatehouse.
* The Source of All The Evil (based on the autobiography of David Henry Sterry); first performed at the Cockpit Theatre.
* Staying In; first performed at The Hideaway Bar.
* Worship (based on Jet de sang); first performed at the Etcetera Theatre.

HuRica Productions
In 2010, Allison set up HuRica Productions with Erica Johansson, to produce tv, short films and radio plays. HuRica is currently producing a short film called Shared Accommodation and has aired a series of plays on Radio Poplar
The Yellowchair Performance Experience
In 2003, Allison set up The Yellowchair Performance Experience, a non-profit organization to give new talent (actors, writers and designers) their first experiences with London Fringe Theatre.
