UniVisit was founded in 2004 with the purpose of exploring the new international tendencies on the fields of e-commerce and tourism which by that time where virgin territories in Mexico, they were even just starting to flourish in other countries. UniVisit started to operate formally as as a touristic services provider on 2006. UniVisit operates at two basic levels, the first one consists in the providing and maintenance of special web based designed tour operator services, the second one in the management of its websites, portals and other services projected outwards to the general public. The company affiliates include hotels and hotel chains such as Ocean View or Hoteles Mision; travel, car rental, transportation and activity agencies such as AGA or Royale Tours. UniVisit has over 6 hundred affiliates principally located in Mexico. UniVisit keeps being the first and only company of its kind in Mexico. The principal attribute of its services is the booking system practicality; designed with the purpose of allowing users to book online on a fast and easy manner. SERVICES UniVisit is a company that offers miscellaneous global positioning services. UNIVISIT CRS Central Reservation System- computer reservations system (CRS) is a digital system used to store and retrieve information and conduct transactions related to travel, control availability and rates, reports, multiple user levels and statistics. UniVisit´s CRS administrates and controls reservations from all sources including GDS, IDS, Hotel’s Website, Call Center and Travel Agencies. The CRS connects to the PMS. GDS RREPRESENTATION Major CRS operations that book and sell for multiple companies are known as global distribution systems (GDS). Travel related businesses have divested most of their direct holdings to dedicated GDS companies, who make their systems accessible to consumers through Internet gateways. Modern GDSes typically allow users to book hotel rooms and rental cars as well as airline tickets. UniVisit provides GDS representation for room inventory distribution on travel agencies and related businesses; it counts with the services of the 4 principal GDS: Amadeus, Sabre, Wordspan and Galileo. PORTALS UniVisit counts with various portals designed according to different market models. Through the portals the client is able to navigate using a search engine on different search patterns, such as packages, destination, activity hotel or state. The diverse micro-sites count with a booking engine.The principal portals can be found in 2 versions, English and Spanish. Each portal counts with the affiliation of at least 600 hotels located principally throughout Mexico. BOOKING WEB SITES Univisit also generates individual websites for its associates. UNIPANTALLA Booking engine installed in all UniVisit’s websites which allows the user to book on real time at any time of the day. CALL CENTER As it was already mentioned UniVisit allows online booking, in the same way the company has a call center allowing the client to book by phone or on a due situation ask for information and/or assistance. MODELS NTDMS NATIONAL (TOURISM DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) NTDMS is an innovative model for Nations which final purpose is to enhance travel distribution for direct bookings between the traveler and tourism related businesses via the Internet. Via NTDMS tourism related businesses ranging from large corporate chains to small or medium-sized tourism businesses including auto rentals and activities, enables them with distribution technologies including e-Marketing, covering over 60% of the country’s tourism related companies.
