Horror podcasting is a genre of podcasting devoted to horror movies, fiction, and news. These podcasts have loosely organized into a community that communicates across podcasts, forums and Twitter. Recent years have seen a rise in the influence and number of these podcasts. Independence Much like the horror genre itself, horror podcasts are independent from the mainstream producers of the content they review and comment on. This has resulted in a diversity of podcast content and formats including interviews with actors, directors and other content producers, reviews, critiques and content commentaries. The number of horror podcast participants range from solo casts to groups of five or more at a time. The independence and freedom of the format has also resulted in a variety of content within the horror genre. |
