Horner Avenue

Horner Avenue is a minor arterial road in Toronto. The east end of Horner Avenue is Evans Avenue. The west end of Horner Avenue is Westhead Road. The origin of the name is unknown. The speed limit varies between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour. The Toronto Transit Commission route 110A Islington South operates on Horner Ave from Judson Street to Brown's Line. The eastern part of the street is an industrial area, as such, the speed limit is at 50 (before vision 2.0 was implemented the speed limit from Evans Ave to Judson St was 60). The western part of the street is a collector road with residential properties, the speed limit is 40 there. There is a railroad crossing at the curve. There is an ESSO gas station at the Kipling Avenue intersection There is a seniors' centre at 320 Horner Avenue |
