Hitch50.com

Hitch50.com tracks the travels of two Canadians who successfully hitchhiked to all 50 US state capitals in 50 days. Scott MacDonald and Matt Fidler, also known as Scotty and Fiddy, are recent graduates of Royal Roads University's BCom program in Entrepreneurship.

They began their journey on October 10 2006 in Times Square and arrived at their 50th state capital, Honolulu, HI, on November 28, 2006. They did not pay for any ride. They have been featured on CNN, MSNBC, and USA Today among other national and regional news outlets.

Scotty and Fiddy graduated high school in 2000 from Gleneagle Secondary, located in Coquitlam, BC. A few months after graduating high school, Scotty and Fiddy traveled to Australia with Paul Mancell and Dan Code.

Scotty went to college in Nelson, British Columbia, before attending Royal Roads. He has traveled to over 39 countries. He spent three and a half winters in Banff, Alberta, and one in New Zealand, working mostly as a ski patrol. Scotty has a photo of him and Robin Williams in Banff, and has also been struck by lightning. Scotty is the younger brother of Kyle MacDonald, the One Red Paperclip guy.

Fiddy has attended five post-secondary institutions, including: Douglas College, Simon Fraser University, University of Guelph, Camosun College, and Royal Roads University. Fiddy is the proud owner of an elderly burgundy Dodge Caravan, named Burginder. Fiddy has a brother, also named Fiddy. Before Hitch 50, Fiddy had never hitchhiked in his life.

Scott recently announced he will change his name to whatever the highest bidder will pay. He made his new name official on February 2, 2007.
